CHARACTER INFORMATION

Name: France/Francis Bonnefoy
Age: About 2,000 years old, though he appears to be 26.
Subject taught: Existentialism and the Anxiety of Immortality versus the Anxiety of Mortality.
Canon: hetalia
Canon point: modern day

Personality:
Haute couture, chic, avant-garde. High fashion, expensive food, exclusive aristocratic society, rare wines.

From Alain Ducasse to Coco Chanel, France has been the centre of high society for a great number of years, taking pride in his noble culture and the delicacies he has been producing for many years. All though he is not necessarily stubborn when it comes to diplomatic behaviour, when it comes to things like wine and food, France is outlandishly elitist and refuses to acknowledge countries such as America when they try their hand in things like wine making.

Perverse to a point of fault, France has made multiple passes at many of the different countries within the Hetalia universe. He has tried to marry England, (though he did not wish to), he has dreamed about China, he’s both molested Italy and tried to coerce the younger nation into having sex with him and he has a weird fascination with Austria. He has been seen outside of Austria’s window, calling him handsome and has described Austria as someone he would love to make a French territory, and admitted to wishing to lick his face.

Although he is very extravagant when it comes to making food, he doesn’t like it in the slightest when people waste food, and when Korea launches kimchi into space, he becomes distraught with this notion. France’s dishes are extremely fine, and he does enjoy serving multiple courses, but his dishes are also extremely small.

One of the strangest relationships that France has is with England, a rivalry that dates back almost a millennium, and the both of them have hurt each other more than anyone else in their history. They are almost always at odds with each other, and picked opposite sides in many wars just to fight the other, but towards the end of the 19th century and into the 20th, England and France developed a “nobody picks on them but me” mentality, demonstrated in both the Second Opium War and World War Two.

He is not only vain, but vainglorious, to a point where he is delusional about both his power and his beauty. He cares more about his aesthetic than his power though, as while countries like England and Prussia will boast on their military ability, he will often talk about his beauty. And his hair.

For some reason, France has a weird fixation with being referred to as “big brother” by the other countries. He does refer to Spain as his big brother, but to everyone else, he implores them to call him “big brother”. He is obsessed with seeming mature, so he attempts to compromise and be the bigger one in an argument sometimes just so he can have bragging rights. After the War of American Independence, he grew out his beard, (which is really just stubble), and it is said to represent the Tarn-Gorges.

Technology seems to be somewhat of a sore spot for France, and he avoids using it if at all necessary. Japan’s inventions don’t interest him, and he is somewhat old-fashioned in his preferences. He actually has a fear of computers, and prefers not to use them at all if he can get away with it.

Re: France || Axis Powers Hetalia || Not Reserved

[personal profile] france 2012-03-02 01:29 pm (UTC)(link)
He is extremely compassionate, and feels the need to protect others that are being bullied, as demonstrated with his attitudes towards Italy, which is almost contradictory, because he went ahead and bullied Italy at a later point. He does not hold many regrets, but one of his deepest regrets was how Jeanne D’Arc was treated, especially after all that she did for him.

Although he ended up trading away Canada for almost nothing, France is one of the only people that recognises Canada when he sees him. This is perhaps because Canada was France’s protégé, and he is quick to correct other people when they forget who Canada is.

To go along with his perverted attitudes, France has a tendency to strip in public. He showed up to one of the Olympic games completely naked and was subsequently arrested for public nudity. This was probably not the first time that happened. To go along with France’s tendency to wear too little, he also dons ridiculous, impractical clothing for ‘fashion’s sake’. During World War Two, his outfit was bright blue and bright red and featured a caplet that he claimed to be a ‘cloak’.

In addition to holding a job as both a diplomat and a soldier, France is also depicted as being a cook at a fine restaurant. It can be assumed that he is more than capable when it comes to cooking, as he often cooks for the other nations and many around him covet his food. In the Gakuen universe, France is one of the members of the gourmet club, and goes out of his way to be exclusive and haughty about his cuisine.

He also has a deep-rooted respect for women because of the strong female figures in his history. Some of such figures were Jeanne D’Arc, Marie Curie, and all the women of the French Feminist movement. Feminism in France was and still is a driving political force, finding its roots in the French Revolution.

The country himself is known to be both sadistic and masochistic with famous writers such as the Marquis de Sade and Pauline Réage, but he is also a brilliant philosopher, as a forerunner in the Existentialist movement and the inventor of modern philosophy with René Descartes. He is known to reflect on his philosophical and existential thoughts, especially when questioned on his age or his status as a nation. He seems to believe he is the wind in the sails of his nation, the guiding force of his people and the personification of their interests.

CHARACTER INFORMATION

Name: Bubblecup (the pony formerly known as Derpy Hooves)
Age: early teens?
Subject taught: Only applies to characters over the age of 18.
Canon: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Canon point: Current! Continuity in ponies, wut?

Personality:
Bubblecup is usually out to have a good time. Sure, she’s had her struggles in life, but she takes them in stride. She has a hard time flying straight, and that’s even when her eyes don’t cross periodically on her. But she still pulls through, with her bubbly personality, and powered solely on energy generated from muffins.

She has some trollish tendencies that mostly manifest in a sarcastic apology for the havoc she’s wreaking, even when it’s on purpose. But she never really does it out of malice, she only destroys things that are already broken, or wouldn’t be missed. Or poking at people about things they’re not excessively sensitive about.

She’s also a bit stronger than your average Pegasus, owing to her need to rely more on her physical strength than others do. She delivers mail and works for a moving company, doing her best to be a dependable, if not somewhat silly, pony despite her short attention span.

She’ll be there for her friends when they need her, and will do whatever she can to help them out.

Weapon:
Name: Muffin Top

Form: A Bubble-shooting gun; damage and effects are made when the bubbles contact the opponent

Upgrades:
  • Confusion
  • Durability Boost
  • Flight
  • Friendship is Magic – All stats become stronger the more friendship there is between the wielder and all weapons they possess.
  • Awaken

Lost memories:
  • What muffins taste like.
  • That people’s eyes don’t normally cross on them.
  • Who her friends back home are.
  • The name of her hometown
  • The name of her home country
  • How to read an address
  • How to clap
  • That she is not an Alicorn. She thinks she’s supposed to have a horn
  • Who the mayor of Ponyville is
  • How to fly

Name: Taiwan (I use 林曉梅 Xiaomei Lin if a human name is required)
Age: depending on where you count, almost 400 but she looks 16-17
Subject taught: N/A
Canon: Axis Powers Hetalia
irl history/timelines 1 2 3 (the last link is the most concise and comprehensive) | drama CD translation | comic appearances (incomplete) | tvtropes (ctrl+f Taiwan)
Canon point: February 2012

Personality:
In between being at constant gunpoint and a crisis of identity and diplomacy, Taiwan has little time to sulk. When she has a thousand irons to pull out of the fire, you don't hear her whining. Winners don't whine. She can't show anyone any weaknesses, you know. She simply can't afford to be sad! This is why Taiwan has this easygoing, upbeat attitude about, well, everything. No matter what life throws at her, she'll just take it in stride. One thing at a time! Worrying too much makes you too stressed, too old. It's too troublesome. Anyway, why worry? She has no time for that! She still has to come out strong, even stronger. When she loses focus and loses hope, it'll be all over. Luck hasn't been on her side for some time, though, and you can't see it on her face, but she doesn't enjoy it in the least. In fact, she dislikes being surrounded by negativity. Anything that tries to pull her down will get a well-deserved roundhouse kick. She says it herself - she doesn't believe in bad fortunes. Everything will be okay, she knows it!

Taiwan is a sweet, cheerful girl who is always full of energy. Having been dragged around by the nation as fast as her legs could carry her to get to a photo studio, Vietnam can attest to that. She is the Taiwan has a very positive outlook on life: in one comic strip, she says, "The Taiwanese don't believe in bad fortunes!" Or a more accurate translation on my part: "The Taiwanese don't believe in bad results!" She looks at the brighter side of things even when they are turning out for the worse. When Japan gets a bad fortune himself, brimming with optimism, she tells Japan that, well, they can just forget about it, you know, and try again next time! Anything depressing rarely gets her down.

... Unless they're Asian dramas, those are the saddest. Although not as dramatic as Korea or neurotic as Japan or China, Taiwan can be emotionally impulsive and capricious. Taiwan is often quick to react when someone provokes her and her actions are often juvenile in doing so, but forgets whatever transpired just as fast afterwards. On the rare event that she does feel sad, it won't take too long before she jumps back up on her feet. Sometimes people wonder if her speedy recoveries do happen as fast as they seem. When constantly in a sticky situation, remaining optimistic and cheerful as usual without holding any grudges is just the less stressful thing to do. It's what gets her through her days.

The small island nation doesn't sweat about the little things and think of plans for the long haul - it comes with her carefree nature. This leads to occasional recklessness and clumsiness. Yeah, no, she is the epitome of grace. Also, pigs can fly. She's very feminine and girly, but a little rough around the edges and not exactly ladylike in manners. In the comics, she uses assertive and masculine sentence enders in Japanese, which give her speech an enthusiastic and energetic feel. So she's not the perfect bride she appears to be, but that's okay, she's painfully adorable. She uses onomatopoeia, contracts words to make them catchier - all in all, her speech and mannerisms are what most people call cute. Even when she uses that occasionally sharp tongue on them.

In spite of political issues and controversy, Taiwan is an easygoing girl. In the April Fool's 2011 strips, when someone attempts to blackmail her into wearing a dress with an embarrassing photo of herself, their plan is thwarted when she laughs it off and comments, "It's a well-taken photo!" She doesn't sweat about the small things and lives life one day at a time. That doesn't mean she's lazy, though. It's quite the contrary - she values hard work and ambition and is very earnest with everything she does. She's got to be - she has big dreams! And to reach her goals, she's got to put in a lot of effort and have a lot of patience! She still gets mad when the mail doesn't arrive in time.

Peace and quiet is something Taiwan appreciates very much, but during peacetime, things can get boring, you know? So she drags her friends around town have a little fun, goes to a new restaurant to pig out in and finds the strangest aspects in the most mundane things. Fun, in fact, gets her mind off most things. Taiwan is into fashion, music, gossip - she is very trendy and up to date with the latest fads and happenings, but this also means that she tends to get bored of things easily. That might possibly explain her tastes and brand of eccentricity... which share an uncanny resemblance to Japan's. She hates the monotony of everyday life and tries to make each day a little more special than the next. It's always fun being with Taiwan! Unless she's sitting at home watching a sappy Rainie Yang drama for the umpteeth time, crying her eyes out and asking for another tissue to blow her nose with when Show Luo's character tugs at her heartstrings. She loves living vicariously through stories and often sticks her nose in other people's business. No, she doesn't mean any harm by it. Yes, she has nothing else better to do.

But when Taiwan helps you, it's not out of boredom, nope. While it's true that there are benefits that come with giving and giving, she is generous when it comes to gifts. While she does have a lot to give, she also lives by the principle of giving back tenfold what was given to her. Even if the person has done only one small thing for her, she'll remember it. She'll keep it to heart and return the favor someday - it'll be even bigger and better! This nature of hers is also because she gives importance to harmonious relationships and she likes making people happy. This way, she'll get a lot of friends! It would help if no nation was stopping them from approaching her.

Because of this, there are times when Taiwan gets bouts of loneliness and insecurity. Though usually honest and frank, she hides those little feelings behind her smile. It doesn't mean that her cheerfulness is fake - it's only better to move on than dwell on things like that. Besides, a smile always looks better than a frown. She smiles, even at strangers. She is often shy with them, but that's natural. What doesn't come naturally to her is how she musters up the courage to speak to them. It's a little difficult, but she understands how important it is to have friends because of her political situation and is always willing to make more. She wishes she was more popular so that the whole ordeal would be a lot simpler.

She won't ever let those thought get her down, though. As easygoing as she may be, she's a strong-willed girl when it counts. It's to the point where she is stubborn to a fault - she asserts herself to the best of her abilities and haggles and will stop at nothing to get what she wants if she knows it's good for her. This gets her out of depressing situations! Unfortunately, when coupled with her childishness and temerity, it also gets her in a lot of trouble. She's capricious in her half-baked decisions, in other words, she doesn't think things through and often changes her mind. There are a few things she has her mind set on, though - being recognized by everyone as more than the little island off China's coast and being able to stand on her own without anyone's help.

CHARACTER INFORMATION

Name: Erhard Muller, aka CR-S01
Age: Unknown, appears to be late 20's (Game wiki says 24?)
Subject taught: Health
Canon: CR-S01, Game
Canon point: Endgame

Personality:

CR-S01 is an enigma wrapped in a mystery, wrapped in a white lab coat.

At the beginning of Trauma Team, his personality can be best described as unsure and broody. He rarely spoke unless spoken to, and when he did, it was perpetuated with ellipses and unnatural stops in the sentences. The idea that anyone would want to speak to him, especially regarding surgery and him preforming it, was a foreign idea. After all, he was in prison for committing a mass act of Bioterroism at Cumberland College, why would someone put him in a position where he could do similar again. Truth be told, however, he had no memories of committing the crime. At this point, he believes he might have, however, and the idea tortures him. After all, doctors are sworn to Do No Harm. When Agent Holden gives him the oppertunity to save lives again, he is a bit confused by this, but cooperates with the FBI and the hospital.

Between this time and the endgame, a transformation happens. Over his time with the doctors, more of him fleshes out. He clearly is socially awkward, not understanding sarcasm or jokes initially, but he is also concerned with people and trying to understand them, despite his stoicness. He eventually comes out of his shell as he starts to trust the other doctors, but after Maria Torres corners him about his involvement in the Cumberland College Incident, he shut down for a time. It took several doctors, and eventually Ian Holden himself, to get him out of the mode he had fallen into, but after the stern talking to by Holden, he broke, crying a bit, releasing all the guilt he felt over the incident he believed he had caused. Not long after, he showed up in the OR, filled instead with a new sense of purpose, and a new resolve to save patients.

However his personality before he fell into despair, he becomes a leader in the OR, and it's this side of him that is more truthful than the other, more of his real side before his memories were erased. He is determined, even more serious, able to think clearly despite many things distracting him, and will do anything to save the life of the patient, including giving up his own freedom (twice).

In short, he is stoic, quiet, and thoughtful, but underneath it all lies a passion for his patients. Now if only he could transfer that passion to other areas of his life...

Strengths:
  • A Medical prodigy (Instinctively knows how to handle situations, taught by Sartre as his lab assistant)
    • On this note, he does not have Superhuman abilities in the same way as Derek or Naomi, but he is really bloody good. Fast, accurate, everything you want in a doctor.
  • Lots of lean muscle (He carries a injured man to the OR easily when the man has collapsed from Rosalia)
  • Lots of random trivia in his head from reading so much (Knows random facts about butterflies and other random trivia).
  • Obviously smart (The guy can operate like nothing, and his medical knowledge is great).
  • Keeps his cool in the face of danger/stress (Except for getting into super!determined mode and using a few strong words.)
Weaknesses:
  • Socially awkward, doesn't understand sarcasm (Very evident)
  • What is a sense of humour? (He's tried making jokes in canon. No one got them.)
  • Emotionally distant/stoic as hell (He feels emotion, but it tends to be vague inklings. He does, however, have strong reactions when it comes to patients, and in the past had a strong sense of guilt from the Cumberland College incident, so much so that at one point he broke down into tears about it when he was at his worst point of despair)
  • Prone to moodiness (examples above)
    • A particularly sad example is if you lose an operation, you hear a recording of him saying something to the point of 'it was all for nothing' and wishing to be left alone. It almost has a suicidal sound to it, even.

Giovanni | Pokemon 2/3

[personal profile] ruler_of_the_earth 2012-03-07 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Personality:
Giovanni, in a nutshell, is a cold, Sadistic, Cruel, pompous, Evil, calculating jackass.
Wait you need more than that?
Fine.

Giovanni is, in many ways, your typical criminal mastermind. He thinks nothing of treating his employees like dirt if they don't meet his high expectations (if he doesn't fire them outright). He wants to overpower all who oppose him, and, with that, he wants to rule the world.
So yeah, typical in many aspects.
Canonically, there is actually little more to him than that shown to viewers. He is shown as fairly petty, prideful, cruel to people and Pokemon alike, and is just shown as an overall jackass. Bring him a Pokemon he's never been shown before, and don't know what it does? Screw that, get it out of his sight.
He is implied to be a strong battler, as for a time he was the Viridian City Gym leader, but he doesn't care for his pokemon other than his Persian. He even tortures Mewtwo with the idea that he will conduct deadly experiments on Mewtwo's fellow clones if he doesn't submit to his will.
He takes an arrogant pride in his power and leadership abilities, and so far his only known motives are destruction and taking over the world. He seems to have inherited a good deal of it from his mother, Madame Boss, who was very similar (though it is to be noted she valued money moreso than power.).

Headcanonwise, socially he tries to at least put forth a smooth persona. This is the type of man who will have the women hanging on his arms, dazzling them with his money and good looks, as well as his charisma. He sees no trouble with sleeping around, as long as he's in charge and in power. Sex is power, after all. Other than this, he tries to keep a cool head, and would rather use veiled threats rather than get pissed off outright with people (the only time we see him in another setting other than straight Team Rocket, he uses such in public to get the point across to Jessie and James, rather than causing a scene.). Think giving the bellboy a death glare if they tripped and fell, spilling something of his. And manners are important. Can't have people you can use to your own ends thinking you're a rude fool.
In other words, what you see that seems to be a polite, smooth gentleman may just be your worst enemy.

The man has few redeemable factors, indeed.
In fact, the only canon example of him being anything but all oft his is that he treats his Persian quite well. And that is pretty much the only canon example.
Headcanonly, he has a son that, though. Though he and Silver have a bit of a distant relationship, (the kid left with his Nidoking for Johto B( ), he actually does love him. He just...doesn't really know how to show it.
And yeah, those are it.

Strengths:
  • Physical
    • The guy is show in the anime to have a fair amount of muscle from what we see of him in The Evolution Solution, but how much is up to interpretation. Meowth seems to think he is more or less an Adonis in his daydreams.
    • Being a bigger guy muscle-wise, he seems to have a decent sense of balance, as Mewtwo Returns shows him being knocked around by explosions quite a bit.
  • Mental
    • Giovanni is also figured to be a smart thinker when it comes to battles, or in turning things to his favor. We see this when he battles Gary in Battle of the Badge, where he misleads Gary into thinking he's winning by sending out Pokemon he believes will lose, all so he can show off Mewtwo's enormous power.
      • This, however, is often upset by heroes. B(
  • Emotional
    • Despite his anger issues with his agents, he seems to be stable emotionally wise.
    • The guy seems to think himself amazing, and so there's no real lack of self-esteem. At all.
  • Misc
    • His relationship with his son Silver is fairly good. Estranged -the kid took off with his Nidoking for Johto one day B(- and distant, but good.
    • Despite how cruel he can be, as I mention above, he actually cares a bit about his Persian. There is no "canon" reason given for this. POSSIBLE canon has that he rescued the cat as a child, but whether this is anime canon is up for interpretation. In either case, it's the only Pokemon he seems to treat with any degree of respect.
    • Charisma: he has plenty of it. How else do you command so many Rockets?

Weaknesses:
  • Physical
    • We are not show any in canon.
  • Mental
    • None shown in canon.
  • Emotional
    • Did we mention he's evil? And sadistic and cruel and...
    • Pretty bad anger issues. He won't hit someone because of them, but there will be yelling and possible verbal abuse (calling his agents imbeciles and such is commonplace). The one exception to this is his son.
    • He rarely is anything but grumpy as well, at least from what we see up to Best Wishes (where we find he enjoys a cup of coffee in the morning like any good evil mastermind). See Anger Issues above.
    • Pride issues galore. This is everywhere in canon. A notable example is in Mewtwo Returns, where he is so caught up in the thrill of having Mewtwo under his control that he dismisses Domino's worries, thinking that he has won. (He's had this happen before to. :/)
  • Misc
    • His relationship with his mother is...complicated. She was a harsh woman, and if he speaks of her -though he probably won't unless something amazing happens and he actually makes a close friend- it will more than likely be a mix of a genuine love for her...and lots and lots of mixed emotions. What little canon there is of it is found in the Birth of Mewtwo CD Drama.

I assume he's appable, since if he can hold a trumpet in that foot, he can hold a weapon too!

Also, a question: Can Louis bring any of his personal possessions with him, or have they all disappeared?

Re: Tim | Marble Hornets | Reserved [2/3]

[personal profile] sideburnsftw 2012-03-16 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Personality:
(Please note this personality section contains spoilers for the entirety of Marble Hornets.)

In a basic manner, Tim is what anyone would expect an overly-stressed college student to be. He can be rather obnoxious at the worst of times, snippy and very, very irritable when someone gets on his bad side. Tim is known for his sarcastic, sharp wit and angry retorts, and rarely does he show any kind of compassion towards anyone once they wrong him in some way. However, he can be grudgingly polite when need be, only inserting small quips when he's becoming stressed. Tim's also anxious around people he's never met, fidgeting when asked questions and avoiding giving certain answers. It can be assumed that Tim does have a nice, pleasant side, but given the circumstances of the series it's easy to forgive him for his near-constant irritability in canon. However, Tim has shown several times that he's at the very least a helpful person; he agrees to be in a college-made movie despite only being friends with the head actor, he agrees twice to help the protagonist of the series (Jay) finish the movie, and several times provides thoughtful, helpful answers to questions, however unnerved the questions may make him. When Jay waits for him outside the mental health clinic he'd been frequenting often, his response isn't, "um, what are you doing here?" but rather, "if I had known you were waiting for me, I would've hurried up in there." Despite his pissy demeanor, Tim is genuinely a nice guy under all the stress and agitation that the plot piles on him. Tim also suffers from a serious illness that has yet to be properly identified, one that causes him pain as well as constant coughing and, on one rare occasion, a seizure. However, this sickness is a direct result of his being stalked by the Operator and may not surface in Rakuen.

One of Tim's direct flaws is that he is a blatant liar. When asked about the events that occurred during the shooting of the original Marble Hornets film, whether he'd seen Alex or Brian, and other different questions (that are made clear later on in the series he is extremely aware of), he lies straight to Jay's face, claiming he has no knowledge of anything. That, in fact, he's kept to himself since the shooting stopped. Whether or not he can be fully trusted remains to be seen, as all of his lies could be interpreted as keeping Jay out of the line of fire.

But in Tim lies a dangerous persona, one that shows no mercy and one that, as of the time being, appears to be separate from Tim. Tim masquerades as a masked man (affectionately named "Masky" by the fandom) during a fair portion of Marble Hornets, a silent and deadly stalker whose motivations have yet to be seen. As Masky, Tim is ruthless and terrifying. He stalks Jay with little to no remorse and appears to be teamed up with a mysterious character named simply "totheark" in order to terrify Jay with obscure, horrific videos. Masky appears in moments where he is least expected, usually used as a jump scare, and while at first he appears to be targeting Jay, it's later revealed that he is actually targeting the third main character of the series, Alex Kralie. After several instances in which Masky tries attacking them, Alex and Jay manage to subdue him, reveal his true identity, and Alex proceeds to mangle his left leg with a chunk of cement. It would appear that this is Masky's primary motivation for why he keeps attacking Alex, but it's revealed later on that Alex had kept Tim locked in an abandoned building for an unknown amount of time. It is assumed that Tim went crazy during his capture and this is what created the Masky persona. It is this imprisonment that causes Tim to raise the question to Jay:

"How much do you hate? It is not enough."

At the very heart of his character, Tim can be summed up in one word: enigma. Tim's motivations and ideals are in part a basis for the series. What is it that he wants? Who is he protecting? Who is he really fighting for? Why does he do what he does? None of these questions have yet to be answered, but many theories circulate around them. For now, though, it is safe to assume that Tim's primary motive is hatred. Tim hates far more than he does anything else. He hates Alex, he hates the Operator. Tim simply hates. But he hides it well.

One motivation that we can most likely attribute to Tim, however, is that it appears as though he is attempting to keep Jay out of harm's way as much as is physically possible for him. Every action by Masky has caused Jay to flee out of what would be an otherwise extremely dangerous situation (a house in which the main antagonist, the Operator, resides in), attacking Alex when it would appear that he was at his most vulnerable, even going so far as to physically attack Alex while the latter had a gun as a distraction so that Jay could escape. Whether or not Tim's motivations are strictly "protect Jay" or Jay's safety is merely a collateral for his attacks on Alex is one of the primary mysteries in the series. It would appear this way, however, and we can assume at the very least that he is neither a good guy nor a direct enemy.

It's unknown as of canon whether Tim is suffering from any sort of psychological ailments (most likely post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of his capture, which could have very well lasted months) but it can be assumed that he is at the very least mentally damaged and most likely susceptible to panic attacks during boughts of extreme stress. Whether or not he remembers anything has yet to be seen, thought it would appear that he either doesn't, or he was simply lying, which wouldn't be that far of a stretch. However, Tim has shown a few traits of someone suffering from some anxiety-related issue, such as extreme fidgeting under intense stress, avoiding questions, and keeping his distance from other people.

All in all, Tim remains a mysterious character within the mythos and season three promises to provide more information on his background and his motivations. (We can only hope.)

Personality for real this time:
Equius Zahhak is... complicated. Yes, that's probably the most tactful way of putting it. A less kind way would be to say he is both disturbing and highly unstable, with a considerable side helping of 'creepy as fuck'.

Simply talking to him for a short length of time, preferably from some distance away, you would be left with the impression that Equius was an uptight, aloof young man with a huge superiority complex and a total hatred for any kind of foul language. His speech is controlled, with an impressive vocabulary and an idiolect reminiscent of old nobility. It's appropriate, because Equius possesses the blood colour of troll aristocracy, and takes that very seriously indeed. He takes a lot of things very seriously. Like nude musclebeast portraits, slam poetry, archery and the fetishizing of failing in it, and viciously destroying hordes of killer robots.

It's when you talk to him for more than five minutes at a time, or when you're within sight and smell of him, that you start to realise you've made a horrible, horrible mistake.

Whilst he's undeniably brilliant, with a wide variety of hobbies on the highest end of the spectrum of respectable troll pasttimes as befitting a troll with royal blue blood, he is cursed by that same position on the spectrum to possess no stability of character whatsoever. This usually manifests in fits of rage, which are terrifying when you consider that the guy's key ability is his absurd strength. Sorry, STRENGTH. And his strength often causes accidents or problems, which further fuel his anger, which further fuels his strength... He's not exactly the most stable troll in the universe. He's not the least, either, far from it, but still. He can't touch anything without breaking or bruising it, depending on the thing, unless it has been specifically engineered or bred or alchemized to withstand him. And this makes him FURIOUS.

It's a good thing he has Nepeta to calm him down-- oh, right, she's not in Rakuen. Welp. In that case, the only way he can vent his rage is through acts of staggering and unnecessary violence. This is why his horns are broken, his teeth are broken, his glasses are broken...... most of those can be replaced or regrown, but still. He gets into a lot of fights.

That's not the worst part of his instability, though. Oh no. The worst part is his inner, agonising conflict about the domination and subjugation inherent in the blood caste system, and his subsequent unsatisfied homicidal lust. It's almost absurd that he's the troll who insists most stringently on such things as politeness and morals, when he's also the one with the most unnerving fetishistic hobbies and creepy behaviour. For example, when enraged, confused or thinking too hard about one of his hobbies, he tends to sweat a lot. A lot. It means he tends to smell really, really bad.

I mentioned he takes this aristocracy thing seriously. Well, he does. He believes firmly in the blood caste system - that your blood colour denotes your personality, your rank in society, the activities you should enjoy, the people you should talk to... they are the 'deciding behavioural factors' of all of troll culture. As far as he's concerned. He'll be subservient to those of higher rank - higher blood for trolls, or just rank for other species provided they can prove it - and dismissive and derogatory towards those of a perceived lower rank. Peasants, basically. He hates them. They're rude, loose of morals and filthy of blood. Ugh.

Except he's a little confused, and more than a little inverted. It's so shameful to obey a lowblood or command a highblood that he takes a perverse, guilty kind of pleasure in it. It's disgusting, he knows that, and yet he can't help himself. As much as doing something so wrong upsets him, it also arouses him, and he finds himself addicted to seeking such situations as much as he tries to set up situations in which he can fill his true role.
